Richard Tabarrini


Richard has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for nearly 30 years, 25 of which have direct involvement with computer validation and regulatory compliance.  Prior to luaunching Covex in 2001, he served six years as a Project Manager and an additional two years as the VP of Business Development at another validation consulting firm and also served as a Senior Manager at Ernst and Young. His role at Covex includes leading the sales department, overseeing company finances, and actively managing and executing IT Computer Validation Projects.  Richard earned a B.S. degree in biology from LaSalle University. He has achieved certification by the American Society of Quality as a Quality Auditor and has been approved by the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA) for performing PDA sponsored audits.

Michael Zanette

Vice President, Compliance Services

Mike has been working in the pharmaceutical field for over 20 years specializing in system implementation, automation, validation, and regulatory compliance. Mike manages the Covex Compliance department, which includes projects in the areas of laboratory systems, laboratory based IT systems, manufacturing automation systems, data acquisition systems and information management systems.  He provides internal and external industry training on many topics including Validation System Life Cycle, 21 CFR Part 11 applicability and adherence, and laboratory systems control.

Mike earned a B.S. degree in Biology from Pennsylvania State University. He has achieved certification by the American Society of Quality as a Quality Auditor, performing audits in both the US and Europe.  He acquired his PMP from the Project Management Institute and supports clients on global program planning and implementation.

Charles Yardley

Director, IT Services

Chuck Yardley earned his Bachelors Degree from LaSalle University. Chuck has been working in the validation field for over 20 years. Prior to that he was a network administrator, responsible for hardware (routers, switches, and servers) and software (all Microsoft Windows Operating systems, SQL databases, and Microsoft Exchange Email) systems. Chuck specializes in Information Technology systems, from Oracle and SQL databases to 21 CFR Part 11 “wrapper” solutions. Throughout his 12 years Chuck has worked on all types of validation projects. He has worked on large 21 CFR Part 11 remediation projects as a technical lead for IT Systems validation, as well as, on the development and qualification of data centers and their networks.

Jean Colflesh

Office Manager

Jean has been working in accounting and office management for over 30 years. She has worked in the Validation/Engineering industry for approximately 18 years.  She is responsible for the coordinating, directing and reporting of all financial transactions for Covex and manages the human resource functions of the company.  Jean is instrumental in the development/implementation and communication of Covex’s policies and procedures and is involved in the daily business operations, performing everyday tasks necessary for the efficient running of the business. Jean has an Associate Degree in Accounting from Widener University.

Christopher Petriw

Manager/Computer Systems Validation

Chris has been working in the validation field since 1998. As a Senior Validation Engineer, Chris has gained valuable knowledge in how systems integrate into each other by being exposed to different manufacturing and laboratory sites and their proprietary system configurations. Chris’s validation experience includes, Network validations, Warehouse Management and Distribution Center qualifications, Data Archive based software packages, Chromatography Data Acquisition packages, Laboratory Information Management Systems and Document Management systems.

Chris earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.

Kyle J. Pratt

Sr. Director, Client Services

With over 18 years of experience in the Life Sciences industry, Kyle brings a strong combination of large-scale global implementation and client services management to Covex. Kyle is responsible for business development, client and partner relationship management, and overseeing the growth of the Onshore Testing Services (OTS) organization.

Prior to joining Covex, Kyle spent 9+ years at Bristol-Myers Squibb, responsible for their global regulatory authoring and submission publishing systems. Kyle started his career in Life Sciences at Liquent, where he worked for 8 years as the Executive Director of Technical Services, overseeing the implementation and support of global publishing systems at Tier 1 and 2 pharmaceutical companies.

Kyle has a B.S. degree in Business Management from the University of Vermont.


Mike Kolter

Sr. Manager, Onshore Testing Services (OTS)

Mike brings over 15 years of experience in the Life Sciences industry to Covex, validating and delivering complex systems across multiple domains; including laboratory, manufacturing, data acquisition and information management systems. As the Sr. Manager of the Covex OTS organization, Mike is responsible for the oversight and ongoing success of the OTS team, as well as aligning the OTS capabilities with the needs of our growing client base.

Prior to leading the Covex OTS team, Mike spent over 12 years as a Validation Engineer in the Covex Compliance Services team. There he honed his validation expertise through numerous successful engagements with Covex’s global life sciences clients.

Mike has a B.S. degree in Biology from Duquesne University.
